Question by TOUCH MY PIGTAILS AND DIE!: What is the first step to becoming a >>>VEGAN<<
First of all, I don’t really eat that much meat anyway. Not because I don’t like it, I just really don’t cook and I don’t frequent fast food restaurants or restaurants in general. Are there certain important nutrients besides protein that I will now be missing giving up meat completely? What foods can I replace meat with and still get all the needed nutrients? Will I have to give up milk and fish? What benefits can I expect from giving up meat besides not promoting the slaughter of innocent animals? As you can see, I have a lot of questions.

To be vegan you would give up meat, dairy, eggs and leather, fur, honey etc.

The first step is just to stop buying foods and clothes that aren’t vegan. From there, its easy. You will have to look at the ingredients a lot. There are a few things to avoid that you might find.

Eat beans, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and fruits. Good stuff.

You can still eat all the foods Americans love like pizza, hot dogs, burgers and sandwhiches. You just would eat vegan versions that are just as good, if not better.

You do have to cook for yourself more, though which can be a bummer and detours a lot of people from sticking with it. It seems in many ways the world hates vegans…

Why? Greed.
